Studies on the Ascorbic acid in Korean persimmon leaves

Abstract
|
|
|
Changes of ascorbic acid in Korean persimmon leaves (Diorpyros Kaki Thumberg). were investigated and the results were as follows.
1) From May to early November ascorbic acid was almost entirely of hydroascorbic acid and the content of dehydroascorbic acid was very low.
2) From late June to early July the amount of ascorbic acid was as high as 1.9%. After the middle of September it began to decrease rapidly and became as low as 0.18% at the time the leaves were faded out.
